The Superside for Slack integration lets you collaborate and manage creative projects right where your team already works. From briefing and feedback to updates and approvals, it brings key Superside workflows into Slack so you can move faster with less tool switching.
You can brief new projects, track progress, and stay updated on activity, all without leaving Slack. Each project also gets a dedicated space for real-time collaboration with your teammates and your Superside Project Manager (PM).
Install the app
Only admins can install Superside for Slack in Superspace.
Installing Superside for Slack connects your Superspace account with your Slack workspace so you can start collaborating right away. To install it, follow these steps:
In Superspace, go to Account > Settings > Integrations.
In the Slack section, select Add to Slack.
Note: In some companies, only Slack admins can install new apps. If that's your case, select Authorization issues? instead.
Follow the instructions to allow the app in your Slack workspace. The app gets installed, and a window opens with additional information about the app.
Follow the prompts to configure your app.
After installation and configuration, the app automatically sets up a private notifications channel in Slack, which serves as a central hub for important project updates. The team members in your Superspace account are added to the new Slack channel, and you can also invite other collaborators to keep everyone aligned.
How to use Superside for Slack
Superside for Slack gives you multiple ways to work on creative projects:
Brief projects in Slack: Use
/createprojectto turn any Slack message into a creative brief. Add a title and deadline, and your project is ready to go.Manage projects with commands: Use the
/supersidecommand to access the Superside assistant and manage your creative projects directly from Slack.Stay on top of updates: Receive important project notifications in your dedicated notifications channel, so you never miss key activity.
Collaborate in real time: Open project-specific chats when you need them, discuss tasks with your team, and message your PM. Messages sent in the Superspace Messages tab appear in Slack and vice versa, so conversations stay connected.
Configure Superside for Slack
To update the Superside integration settings, go to Account > Settings > Integrations.
Under Slack, turn on Sync Superside project chats with Slack if you want to create a dedicated project channel for every new project draft in Superspace. This channel is fully synced with the project messages in Superspace.
If you leave this option off, you’ll have a single notification channel with important updates for all of your projects.
Limitations
When you create a new project from Slack using the
/createprojectshortcut, you can’t attach files during the initial submission. After the project is created, you can upload files to the corresponding Slack project channel, and they’ll be added to the project. You can also upload files at any time in Superspace.
