Google Ads is a full data source in Superads, covering YouTube, Search, Display and Performance Max campaigns. This article walks through connecting your account and what to check if something looks off afterward.
What campaign types are supported?
Superads supports all major Google Ads campaign types:
Campaign type | What you can analyze in Superads |
YouTube / Video | Campaign, ad group and ad-level performance, plus thumbnails, ad previews and other metrics. |
Search | Campaign, ad group and ad-level performance. |
Display | Campaign, ad group and ad-level performance. |
Performance Max (PMax) | Asset group and overall campaign performance. |
Google Ads spend doesn't count toward your Superads billing tier at the moment. Only Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok spend is included in the current pricing calculation. That will change once the integration is out of beta.
Connect your account
In your Superads account, select your account at the bottom of the sidebar. This expands the menu.
Go to Settings > Data sources.
Under the Google Ads section, select Add account.
Sign in with your Google account. A Google authorization pop-up appears. Sign in with the Google account that has access to the Google Ads accounts you want to connect.
Select the ad accounts to connect. You'll see every Google Ads account your Google profile has access to. Choose the ones you want to add.
Select Connect. Superads starts syncing your data.
Wait for the initial sync. Your most recent campaigns appear within about 30 minutes. Full history typically completes within 24 hours.
If you manage multiple Google Ads accounts, select all of them in step 4. You can also add more accounts later by repeating this process.
Connect a Manager Account (MCC)
If you use a Google Ads Manager Account (MCC) to manage multiple client accounts, you can connect at the MCC level. Superads lists all the individual accounts under your MCC, and you can select which ones to connect.
What to expect after connecting
After connecting, Superads starts pulling your full Google Ads history in the background. Within about 30 minutes you should see the last two weeks of data. The complete history typically takes up to 24 hours, depending on how much data is in your account.
Starter Board templates
The template reports in your Starter Board were built for paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok), so they may not work well out of the box for Google Ads. For example, "Group by: Ad name" is a common grouping in those templates, but most Google Ads formats don't have an ad name, so those reports show "None" instead of meaningful creative data.
If you connected Google Ads as your only channel and signed up after March 2026, you get a set of Starter Board templates built specifically for Google. If you connected multiple channels or signed up before March 2026, your existing templates are likely set up for paid social and need some adjustment for Google.
For Google Ads, we recommend editing your existing reports or creating new ones from scratch. Superads AI can also help you build reports tailored to your Google campaigns.
Common errors and how to fix them
Symptom | What to do |
Connected but no data showing | The initial sync may still be running. Wait up to 30 minutes for the last two weeks of data to appear, or check Settings > Data sources for the sync status. Also confirm your report isn't filtered to a platform that doesn't match. |
Only YouTube campaigns are showing | Search, Display, Shopping and PMax campaigns sync separately. Check the sync status in Settings > Data sources. If those campaign types are still missing after 24 hours, trigger a manual resync or contact support. |
Some ad accounts are missing from the list | Your Google account may not have access to those accounts, or they may sit under a different MCC. Confirm access in Google Ads, then try reconnecting. |
YouTube videos aren’t showing thumbnails | This can happen if the video was recently uploaded or the creative ID changed. Try a full history sync from Settings > Data sources. |
Data looks different from Google Ads | Superads syncs data once a day, so today's spend won't appear yet. Use a date range that excludes today when comparing. Small discrepancies on partial days are normal—see Why don't my numbers match Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads? for a full explanation. |
Connection error or auth expired | Go to Settings > Data sources and select the reconnect button next to the affected account. Sign in with the same Google account used during setup. |
If your Google Ads data is still missing after 24 hours, reach out via the in-app chat in Superads with your workspace name and Google Ads account ID. Our team can check the sync status directly.
